Enough with packets and edpuzzles. We are in the midst of one of the most disruptive moments in human history, and our high schools are still having students color maps. We are more ambitious, challenging students to discover and cultivate their intellectual curiosity. Through workshops such as History Through Current Events, the students engage with real-world problems, which in turn have them excitedly pursuing rabbit holes that lead them to ask questions that matter. Then, our students find a problem with which they wish to engage. From there, they look for an opportunity, do targeted and thoughtful research, create a strategy, and build a project that leads to transformation. Our students are not creating bake sales, they are creating projects that have been featured on CNN, in the LA Times, and Newsweek. We have a motto: "Pursue TUA" (Truly Unusual Achievements).
